EGMO 2026 officially started with an inspiring inauguration ceremony in Bordeaux.

The participants received warm words of encouragement from several speakers, including Edwige Cyffers (member of the organising team), Viviane Kehl (former President of EGMO), Véronique Bertile (Vice-President of the University of Bordeaux for Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity), Isabelle Gallagher (President of the SMF), Pārsla Esmeralda Sietiņa (President of EGMO), as well as many partners who joined us through video.

They also enjoyed an astonishing magic show and a beautiful live music performance, making for a joyful start to the competition.
